Son of Jeremy Corbyn - UK Labour Leader is Set to Open 'National Hemp Service' - an all-things-cannabis shop

The enormous curiosity and interest surrounding cannabis satvia and cannabidiol (CBD), from the consumer as well as the global media, has grabbed the attention of entrepreneurs who are looking towards CBD. With many trying to make it a successful industry, that is eco-friendly, playing a key role in the economy producing long-term profits and providing consumers with high quality products that will do some good.

CBD is not only getting attention from those mentioned......BUT... ironically the UK's 'politicians and their offspring' are all now directing their attention towards the CBD industry, looking at the environmental and financial benefits that Cannabis Sativa and Cannabidiol (CBD) may hold.

First, it was reported in the media during 2018, that former conservative leader Theresa May's husband, is an investor in the Capital Group and G4S. The Capital Group is reported to be major investors in 'GW Pharmaceuticals' (manufacturers of Sativex and Epidiolez) and G4S are also said to provide security for them. Another widely reported story in the media, relating to the husband of the conservative MP Victoria Atkins - who at the time was the UK's Parliamentary Drug Minister. Her husband, Paul Kenward is a director of British sugar run,s the largest legal Cannabis operation in Europe for 'GW Pharmaceuticals'. https://www.gwpharm.co.uk (*Source: reported in the Times newspaper, May 2018)

According to the Times newspaper:

“Victoria Atkins stopped speaking on behalf of the government on cannabis and other aspects of her drugs brief. The Home Office said she had “voluntarily recused herself from policy or decisions relating to cannabis”.

Now in 2019, it has been revealed that the conservative opposition labour leader, MP Jeremy Corbyn's son is set to open an all things “Cannabis Hemp Outlet” in the labour leaders back garden and constituency!

Tommy Corbyn, has started two companies with his girlfriend selling all hemp-related items. The companies are; National Hemp Service and The Hemp Café

On Tuesday 14th August, local newspaper the Islington Gazette reported :

Tommy Corbyn & Chloe Kerslake-Smith are set to soon open the first of its kind 'National Hemp Service'  shop in Stroud Green Road, Islington.

Tommy Corbyn told the Islington Gazette:

“We want to champion hemp as a material for all different things. We think cannabis has been demonised for a long time ... We don’t want people to be afraid of the plants. We want to help push legalisation forward -  it’s the answer to a lot of our health and sustainability issues.

“Hemp offers a huge amount of solutions to the problems of today, in terms of agriculture, environment, even economically, if we all start growing hemp it would help.

“Especially in the Brexit environment when we are not going to be able to export much to the European Union, hemp is part of the solution.”

Items sold by the National Hemp Service, will be sourced from like-minded independent firms.

It is also reported:

There are plans to use the shop as a base for Cannabis education and campaigning for cannabis legalisation in the UK.

The couple have grafted away for months, taking a DIY approach to decking out their shop, which Chloe described as a "labour of love".

But there have been a few scrapes and scratches along the way, such as earlier this month when Tommy was installing air conditioning and the "drill butt span around and hit him in the head".

Chloe said: "We were in the ambulance the other day and they asked what the shop was going to be called and we cracked up because you can't say National Hemp Service to someone who works in the National Health Service. It's a bit tongue in cheek but we do mean it and it should be a service for the community."

What are your thoughts ? ......  Like the business name?
